The American League Champion Tampa Bay Rays will take to Bright House Networks Field in a rematch of the 2008 World Series. The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Rays in five games. However, the worst-to-first story of the always underdog Rays was the real winner.
Today’s game at 1 p.m. is just spring training but marks the first time the teams take the same field since October. The teams play in the Grapefruit League, a division of 16 teams that spend spring in Florida. The Rays (1-2) are near the bottom of the standings, the Phillies (0-3) are at the bottom.
Nevertheless, the Rays are known for playing hard nine innings as evidenced by a brawl last spring training against the New York Yankees.
Surely, this game will be more laid back.
